Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful imagery. Automated scraping and service abuse are prohibited.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the services provided by DropBG via dropbg.io, our desktop tools, or our programmatic REST APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue using DropBG immediately.

2. Scope and Nature of Service

DropBG provides automated visual recognition, semantic segmentation, and background manipulation capabilities. We strive to provide high-availability service and high edge precision, but visual output is generated via deep learning inference and may vary depending on input resolution, lighting, and foreground complexity.

The basic interactive service is currently provided free of charge without requiring mandatory registration. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or discontinue parts of the service at any time to guarantee platform stability.

3. Content Ownership and License Grants

Your Content: You retain all ownership, copyright, trademark, and intellectual property rights in the images you upload. DropBG does not claim any ownership over your source files or output cutouts.

License to Process: By uploading an image to the service, you grant DropBG solely a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to transmit, resize, process, and render the image for the sole purpose of providing you with the requested background removal output.

No AI Training Without Affirmative Consent: We will not use your imagery to train machine learning models unless you expressly opt in when submitting quality feedback.

4. Commercial and Personal Usage

All output images generated through DropBG may be used for personal, creative, and commercial purposes without royalties, licensing fees, or attribution requirements, provided that:

You have the legal right, ownership, or authorized license to use the underlying image.
The resulting work does not violate any third-party intellectual property or publicity rights.

5. Prohibited Use and Conduct

When using DropBG, you agree not to:

Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, abusive, or infringing on any patent, trademark, or copyright.
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, probe, scan, or reverse engineer any backend server or network infrastructure.
Execute unauthorized denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, flood requests, or automated scraping scripts that disrupt service availability for other users.
Use the API to re-sell a competing automated cutout service under misleading claims.

6. API Fair Use and Rate Limiting

To protect service availability for everyone, API requests and web uploads are subject to automatic algorithmic rate limiting (e.g. per-minute or per-hour quotas). We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently restrict access from IP addresses or endpoints that demonstrate abusive request patterns.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. DropBG does not guarantee that the service will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI edge segmentation will be 100% accurate for every conceivable image.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DropBG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Governing Law and Contact

These terms are kept simple and fair. They shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without prejudice to mandatory European consumer rights.
